Exams? Pshh

Instead of studying I’m moving clothes around to sell and get moolah, then use said money to buy more winter clothes to fill up the spaces from the clothes I sold.

I’ve always loved winter. Scarves, boots, beanies, gloves, skiing in the alpines. What else could one want?

After some careful plans, hopefully no summer for me this year! Spending 6 months in winter, and 6 in Spring and Autumn.

40 degrees (+) Melbourne days, I’ll see you in 2014.

Too lazy to tell everybody individually. So unless they ask, this is my official statement.

I rejected Stanford and will not be becoming a Cali girl this year. Maybe in few years time, we’ll see.

Words of wisdom #1

My cousin is getting married, and at that pre-wedding panic stage where she decided that she’s going to give me relationship advice randomly.

#1

Boys will declare they know how everything works and explain it to you - no matter how boring - slowly and loudly, as if you were 2 years old. Just pretend you had no idea that the toaster uses springs to make the toast pop out.

If you can correctly pronounce every word in this poem, you will be speaking English better than 90% of the native English speakers in the world. After trying the verses, a Frenchman said he’d prefer six months of hard labour to reading six lines aloud. Try them yourself.

IT’S DONEEEEEE!

As I said above, IT’S DONEEEEEEE! 2 months late, I know.

Bear with me, it’s going to be slow for a little while. Being a busy bee and all that jazz (legitimately busy I swear).

But, there’s a few travel posts lined up for this week and next, and a few more exciting pieces of news up soon.

Day # 10

day 10 - if you could only live off of one food and one beverage for the rest of your days, what would they be?

Coffee and pancakes. I have a thing for breakfast foods.

Step back

I made the mistake of liking her Facebook status where she said she was secure about how she looks and she knows she’s beautiful inside and out.

(Irony IS funny, obviously I’m a Macrobian at heart)

“Wow, you have Friday afternoons and Mondays off? That’s so cool, it’s perfect for a spontaneous weekend away with your BOYFRIEND. My FIANCÉ can afford to take me out, oh wait, do you even have a boyfriend? Don’t worry, you’re beautiful where it counts, on the inside.”

She thinks her $100 shoes, still-a-teenager fiancé, racist and barely concealed jabs are impressive.

Darling; in the near future, you and your fiancé will be working for me and my beautiful ASIAN insides. That you can be secure about.

When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly,He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jarAnd proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students, if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and pouredthem into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.Of course, the sand filled up everything else.He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectivelyfilling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.‘Now,’ said the professor, as the laughter subsided,‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - family, children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions – Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.The sand is everything else —The small stuff.‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ He continued, there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,You will never have room for the things that are important to you. So…Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.Play With your children.Take time to get medical checkups.Take your partner out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.‘Take care of the golf balls first —The things that really matter.Set your priorities. The rest is just sand. One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled‘I’m glad you asked’.It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,There’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.’

Day #9

day 09 - how old do you think you act? explain.

I’m a master of disguise. I happen to know I can act like I’m 25 with some people. 15 with others. And just plain pretentious once in a while.

But I like to think that I act my age. There’s only so much aging one wants to do.

Day #8

day 08 - if you could live anywhere, where would you live and why?

I’m thinking somewhere busy like New York, but business-y like Boston, snows like Zurich but warm like Maui.

I like being occupied, boredom kills me. And I love the cold, naturally for every cold day there should be a hot day, but I hate heat waves. Finally, I have to afford to live wherever I want, and business equals money equals no boredom.

So, Los Angeles. We’ll see if that works out soon. Very soon.

Fancy Schmancy

Just breaking my heart little by little, we went to see a house in Canterbury today.

It was exciting, so, so exciting!

The ceiling was almost 5 meters in the living areas and 4 in the bedrooms (which there were plenty of). The pool was blue and the elevator was shiny. The road had a fancy schmancy name and you could control everything with your voice and a remote.

Did I mention I wanted to climb into the bath and never get out?

Day #7

day 07 - do you read? if so, what are your three favorite books and why?

#1 - Devil Wears Prada, because I’m a girl. One that wants to work in magazine land with the huge wardrobe

#2 - Murder She Wrote, I’m a curious soul. These things amuse me to no end.

#3

I don’t read enough to have REAL favourites. These are just the one’s I’ve read in the last month
